Under the responsibility of the General Manager, the florist's main mandate is to create and provide superior quality floral arrangements to meet the needs and expectations of customers. This includes designing bouquets, flower arrangements and decorations for various occasions, such as weddings, birthdays, special events, funerals, etc. The florist must also offer exceptional customer service and provide expert advice on flowers and plants.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Cut, clean and prepare flowers and plants for creating floral arrangements
• Create bouquets, floral arrangements and decorations using artistic techniques and floral design knowledge.
• Greet customers, advise them on the choice of flowers and arrangements, answer their questions and process special orders.
• Receive and inspect flower deliveries, manage inventories, ensure freshness of flowers and availability of necessary supplies.
• Ensure flowers and plants are properly cared for, watered and fed to ensure their sustainability.
• Prepare flower and arrangement orders for delivery or customer pickup.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of different flower varieties, their characteristics, seasonality and proper care.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of sales area, including attractive display of arrangements and products.
• Manage financial transactions, record customer orders and payments accurately.
• Stay informed of the latest floral design trends, special events and important occasions to anticipate and meet customer needs.
